I prefer flying with Halos or One-X, and the 1000XM3s are mainly for pax. QC35 with nflightmic is a decent option. Compared to most passive noise canceling (PNC) aviation headsets, consumer headphones with active noise canceling (ANC) will be better. However they're not as good as aviation headsets with ANC.
